Orientation and Onboarding Courses

Overview

These courses are specifically intended for, and serve the needs of, volunteers and placement students at agencies. An effective onboarding and orientation strategy fosters both engagement and productivity. The courses found here seek to ensure that new volunteers and placement students are well-integrated into their new work environment. Learners will learn essential information and have access to mandatory courses pertaining to Ontario Child Protection Standards, the Eligibility Spectrum, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).   

This package includes the following courses:

  1. Identity-Based Data Collection - 40 minutes
  2. Child Protection Standards (2016) and Eligibility Spectrum (2016) - 8 hours
  3. Normes de la protection de l'enfance en Ontario (2016) et Échelles d'admissibilité (2016) - 8 hours
  4. AODA Customer Service Awareness - 45 minutes
  5. AODA Employment Standard - 35 minutes
  6. AODA Information and Communications Standard - 30 minutes
  7. AODA Understanding Human Rights - 35 minutes
  8. Occupational Health and Safety Awareness for Workers - 55 minutes
  9. Occupational Health and Safety Awareness for Supervisors - 1 hour
  10. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) 2015 - 50 minutes
  11. Workplace Violence and Harassment - 50 minutes
  12. Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA) 101, 2017
  13. Loi de 2017 sur les services à l'enfance, à la jeunesse et à la famille (LSEJF) 101, 2017
